Duplicate files are a waste of good disk space. When you create backups for certain files, you might forget to delete them when your work is done. There are many ways you can end up with piles of similar files and it can be difficult to find them. NoClone Free will help you find these files with great speed and efficiency. It lets you perform an overall search or "hunt down" a specific type of file.

Any Internet connection, regardless of its speed, should be enough to download the 5.25 Mb installation kit. The software is not too demanding, so you can run it with older hardware without any problems.

The main search options are placed in a column, on the left side of the software's interface. You can search for exact duplicate files, duplicate MP3s, similar files, compare two folders or look for duplicate Outlook emails. NoClone can also look for files which are larger than one Mb or files which meet your own specifications. You can select one of these search modes with the radio buttons, in the upper left corner of the window. The search criteria can be redefined on a separate window, after clicking a hyperlink in the same area.

The software will look for duplicate files in folders of your choosing, so there is no need to wait while scanning the entire hard drive. The folders you wish to scan must be added to a list, beneath the main search options. After specifying a folder's path, you just need to click a button to add it to the list. Finally, you may click the large Search button in the lower left corner of the window.

The results are listed on the main area of the interface, under a separate tab. Duplicates are placed one after another in the list and each set is colored differently. You can mark them by clicking the check boxes next to each entry or you can use the smart marker. It can be accessed with a toolbar option and you can use it to automatically select files by date (newer or older), size, length of the file's name or by folder. Finally, you can delete the selected files by clicking a button on the toolbar. Alternatively, they can be copied or moved with the options in the Actions menu.

NoClone comes with a download manager as well. If you click the New Download button on the toolbar, a small dialog will appear on the screen, where you can paste a download link. The built in download manager is capable of downloading content much faster than a web browser, so it is a very handy tool to have around.
